CHELSEA WON!!!! WE'RE GOING TO MOSCOW!!!

The 2nd leg of the match between Chelsea and Liverpool turned out to be a classic. The game went down the wire. The game was tied 1-1 at regulation. Chelsea scored 2 goals in extra time, one of them was a penalty kick by me mate, Lamps. Kudos to the guy, its tough being in that spotlight at that stage of the game, especially what he's been through. I mean, Christiano Ronaldo choked on his, so you can imagine the pressure. Anyway, Chelsea was leading 3-1 going into the final 15 minutes of extra time, Babel scored for Liverpool, which made it 3-2. If Liverpool scored again, they would go to Moscow, if Chelsea held on, they would win by aggregate score. I still couldn't get the away goal difference. They should just abolish that stupid rule. Anyway, Chelsea held Liverpool off and we're on our way to Moscow!!!

What I didn't get was Liverpool manager, Rafa Benitez taking out their best striker, Fernando Torres, out of the game and put in Babel with almost 20 minutes remaining in the game. Let me put this in context for y'all. Lakers are down 5 points, so Phil Jackson benches Kobe Bryant for the remainder of the game and puts in some marginal player!! Thats how crazy the sub was! Ok, Babel made a goal, but still... Anyway...

So the Champions League Final is set. Its going to be Chelsea against Manchester United. Too bad its not happening at the Bridge. They'd win for sure. Anyway, its set on May 21. I will set my calendar and my DVR to that.

I recorded the Chelsea/Liverpool match on DVR. I was so pissed off that it didn't record the whole match. It was just set till regulation time plus an extra 30 minutes. I was able to see Lamps and Drogba's goal though. That's a little consolation for me. But as extra precaution for the final, I'll add an extra hour to it. I want to see Chelsea hoist that trophy on the 21st. I'm so excited I'm tempted to check the airfare to go to Moscow.

On a different subject, the Sharks are playing the Stars again tonight. Its game 4. Its all tied at 1 a piece in the 2nd period. I don't know. I have a strange feeling that the series would end tonight. I feel like I've lost all confidence with the team. They're playing great though, but I might change the channel instead of watching it.

That doesn't diminish the way I feel about the day though. Bang up job by Chelsea. Can't wait for the match...
Just something to think about today...

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin....

Forgot who told me this, but its nice food for thought...

I couldn't believe it... Sharks lost Game 3 against the Stars, 2-1 in overtime. Now the Sharks face the improbable task of winning 4 games in a row. The last team I remember who did that was the Boston Red Sox against my beloved Yankees. Sox eventually won the World Series that year. They broke the curse of the Bambino. Is there a curse against the Sharks that I don't know of? Hmmm....

Manchester United won 1-0 against Barcelona in a boring semi-final match. Scholes hit the game-winner, 25 minutes into the 1st half. What a goal it was though. I'm surprised Barcelona didn't play Henry or Bojan early and attack early. Anyway, tomorrow is the big day for me lads at Chelsea as they face Liverpool in the 2nd leg of their semi-final round. Lamps will be playing tomorrow. And as far as I know, there will be no scratches or injuries to the Blues. I know Liverpool, they will attack, and attack early. They'll go for broke early. Chelsea, historically, has never lost at home. Last time they did that was 2 years ago. Historically, Liverpool plays terribly away, especially at the Bridge. Again, I'll be monitoring the game over the internet. I love ESPN's gamecast!

I was supposed to buy GTA 4 today but due to uncontrollable instances, I wasn't able to. I'll go on my lunch time tomorrow and get the game. I'll do that after I eat and enjoy the Champions League match. There were early reports of glitches to the game in both consoles. For PS3s, the glitches only affects the 60GB consoles. The glitch is towards the beginning of the game. Its not even into the first part of the game, it was just the video leading to the game. That must suck for the people that stayed in line to get the game for hours and the game crashing on them.

I'm still on the fence though about GTA 4. I know its a great game, but I wonder if I'll be playing it. I have a bad history of buying games and not playing them. I don't know, too much stuff to do. At any rate, I'll probably use my GC tomorrow.

If Chelsea wins, I'm using it... if they lose, I'm cooking dinner... Either way, I win... I guess...

Tomorrow is the start of the 2nd leg of the Semifinal round of the UEFA Champions League. Barcelona goes to Manchester United tomorrow while Liverpool visits my mates at Chelsea on Wednesday. Fergie is again playing mind games with Barcelona by saying that Rooney and Vidic might not be playing because of injuries. Next thing you know, they're starting and running like heck! Wednesday's game should be finally different for Chelsea. Last year, they were facing Liverpool too but the 2nd leg was at Anfield and Liverpool plays great at home. Chelsea lost last year via penalty kicks. This year the 2nd leg is at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea hasn't lost in 2 years. I may be wrong, but the last time Chelsea lost at Stamford Bridge was against Barcelona at the Champions league too. Lamps might not play due to his Mom's passing last Thursday. Oddly enough, he was practicing with the lads since Sunday. That's a trooper for you. Hope he plays, but I understand if he doesn't.

I'm happy that my favorite show, House, is coming back today. I'm not going to watch it till tomorrow. Although, I am tempted to do so.

I'm catching up on my shows on DVR. I just started watching this show, How I met your mother. I'm impressed. It sure is funny.

GTA 4 is coming out tomorrow. There'll be some stores that will be doing midnight launches later. I wouldn't be doing that, you know. Standing in line, waiting for a game to come out. Sure, I did that when the last book of Harry Potter came out, and that was crazy. GTA 4 would bring out the craziness of everybody, considering the amount of violence involved in the game. I'm still on the fence on whether I get the game or not. I might, but I'd rather get MGS 4. I don't know, I'll be spending lunch at Best Buy tomorrow and see whether I get it or not. I got coupons anyway, so I'm not going to be spending that much.

I have a headache right now, actually since the early afternoon. I drank a couple of Motrin pills, so we'll see how that goes.

Looks like Lakers will go thru to the Western Semifinals. Denver sure isn't playing like Denver. But, they're complaining is still consistent. They will face either the Rockets or the Jazz. Whoever it is, they'll be toast.

It might be my glasses thats making my headache... we'll see... I can't wait till the weekend... if you've been following my blog, you know what I mean. If I were a betting man, I'd be betting against me. But you know, thats just me talking...

There's still 6 minutes left in the 3rd period, but I'm gonna call it... Stars lead the series 2-0. The Sharks are playing better compared to Game 1, but the Stars have a certain feel to their game.

It feels like they're heading to the Stanley Cup kinda feeling. I hope I'm wrong.

The thing I dread is a sweep because the next 2 games are at Dallas.

I guess this is my cue to sleep and rest early, you know, get ready for tomorrow...
My PS3 started acting up yesterday. I was playing that wrestling game, enjoying the evening and closed my PS3. When I opened my PS3 to watch a movie, it didn't recognize this DVD of mine. I tried to play a game, but it wasn't recognizing the disc. That got me concerned. Any disc I tried did not work.

I immediately went online to see if there were any quick fix to the problem I'm having. I never realized that there were a lot of PS3 owners that were having the same problems. Most of them contacted Sony and shipped their system to them for weeks of having it serviced. Some of them tried reformatting the PS3. It worked to some but didn't for most. So I reformatted my PS3 (despite not backing up my game data), but it still didn't work. There goes my saved games.

Then I remembered this trick my brother did to our old PS2 system. Once our discs then weren't playing, we turned the system upside down and the discs started playing. I tried it on my PS3, thinking that doing something this inane would work with such a technologically advanced gaming console... but

IT WORKED!!!

I tried playing a CD first and it played, while the PS3 was upside down. So I turned it back right side up, hoping that it won't stop not working. But it still played the CD. I put in a regular DVD and it still played. I need to put a game in and check if it still recognized the disc.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WORKED!!!

Has to be something with the sensors of the PS3, as far as the disc loading sensors. It just wasn't recognizing any disc that was loaded. But now its working. Instead of waiting for Sony to send me a box to send my system to them for fixing, I can enjoy my PS3.

Simple fixes are cool...
Such a short a post I did yesterday, but well worth it. I love my Iphone! I can do all these things I wasn't able to do before. Plus, I was more on the road, than on my laptop.

Having lunch with the rest of the brood is good. Its nice to catch up with them on things. I met my sister's fiance. He seems nice. My sister kept telling me to go and talk to him. But, I'm not a fan of small talk. We conversed about a few things but nothing to write home about.

Lunch was great, although the grill of the restaurant we went to might've used some cleaning. Not really sure, but I believe that's how it was supposed to taste but my mates were saying otherwise. I love grilled food. It just want that grilled taste.

Today is movie day. I just saw Lions for Lambs. it wasn't that good. It was short which is great. It just means that I'd be watching more movies than if it were a bit longer. I need to catch up with the movies I have. I'm really falling behind.

The Sharks are supposed to be playing Game 2 later on. Hope the outcome is better than the first game a couple of days ago. What a disappointing outcome that was. I hope the Sharks' enthusiasm is up there. Felt like they were holding back. On paper, the Shark are the best team in the playoffs. But they don't play on paper now, do they? Game is on at 6pm. Hopefully, I'll blog about the result, considering its gonna finish an hour early.

I'm currently watching Death at a funeral. I don't know, I'm growing tired of it already, and its just a few minutes in. I might change it to Feast of love or P2. Something new, definitely.

I feel weak, don't know why.... I hate to admit it, but I like the smell of that Icy-Hot balm I'm using. Call me crazy...

Chelsea won!!! Chelsea won the early derby against Manchester United, 2 - 1. Ballack scored both goals, the last being a PK. Its all tied now on top of the Premiership! Chelsea won!!!

Friday, April 25, 2008

My supervisor went to a conference today. I believe it was the CTTA conference. Anyway, I was left by myself. Handled everything by myself. The owner gave me props for handling the day with ease. No problems and all that. I said to myself, this job is a piece of cake, are you kidding me? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do this job. I mean, modesty aside, its a cakewalk. You just don't need any driver to show you up! If they do, you bite back! That's what I did. The boss saw me handle it with ease. Dust off your shoulder, dude, they respect you.

I tried this Chinese restaurant during lunch period. I thought it was going to be like Mr. Chau's, flavor-wise. The dishes were too flavorful. If it was sweet and sour, it was more sweet than a good blend. I'm not going there anymore. I'll probably stick to the usual joints. Or probably just have a packed lunch like when I was the PD. That would save me some money.

Today is Game 1 between the Sharks and Stars. As of this writing, Stars are leading 2-1. It could change with just a flick of the wrist. Anyway, its 5 minutes into the last period, and it looks like the Sharks will lose this one. I don't know, it feels like there's something missing with the Sharks, like they lost their fire, the zeal, the killer instinct. Its like they're going thru the motions. Its not that they're not trying, its just that they could do better. Don't get me wrong, the Stars are good, but not as good as the Sharks.

Tomorrow is what I'm waiting for though. Its the big derby between Chelsea and Manchester United. They're playing at 12:45pm their time, so that means its at an ungodly hour of 4:45 am here. Which means that I have to wake up that early to listen to the game. Yes, that's right, LISTEN. The great people at FSC decided NOT to televise that game. Its probably on Setanta sports. But Comcast don't have that channel, I think its only available on satellite. I miss satellite. Anyway, Lamps won't be playing. Mum passed away last Thursday. My condolences, Lamps, to you and yours. They get Essien back which is cool. They should attack, attack, attack! I'm sure they'll play their possession game again, knowing their coach, that's what they'll do. If you ask me, that's not attractive football. That's the difference between Chelsea and a Barcelona or Real Madrid. They don't attack, they just like to control the ball. Which is good, but you can't score a goal by just kicking the ball around the pitch.

Anyway, so plans for tomorrow are: Wake up early, get ready to do laundry, grab breakfast (bagel and frappuccino), and listen to the game till the local laundry place opens at 7am. Its going to be one of those kind of days again.

Plus, I'll be waiting for a call from a friend of mine who I invited to watch a movie with. I don't know, I have a funny feeling about the whole thing. Let's just say that I'm not holding my breath about it.

I should stop being pessimistic about these sort of things. But hey, what are you gonna do, right?

Thursday, April 24, 2008

There's never a day in the office that I deal with some pissed off person who thought that the fees we charge for storage and towing away their car is criminal. My logic is, if you've got the balls to drive without a license or with expired tags or drive while intoxicated or abandon your car for more than 72 hours, you should have the balls to pay-up for the stupidity you just did. We'd be out of business if everybody followed the law, well, aside from car accidents, of course. And to think, we're not doing any private property tows! That's where you get the most pissed off people.

It's been a small day today. Quiet too. The politics at work is different from where I used to work. The way I see it, there's the drivers and there's admin/owners. I'm with the latter. The drivers think different of how the owner's run the business. I just do my job. I got to hand it to the owners though, they are so patient with everybody. You would rarely hear a peep from them. Of course, they talk amongst themselves once in a while, but whenever I'm there, they just talk like I'm part of their family. I just mind my own business. Do the job, go home happy.

I need to finish this naturalization app that my sister gave me last week. I should stop procrastinating and just do it.

My thumb still hurts. I don't know how I sprained it, but it sure hurts like crazy especially in the morning.

Before i forget, I need to text my friend a happy weekend. I miss 3 day weekends...

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

I found earlier today that it was Administrative Professionals day. My boss gave me a plant and a card. I thought that was sweet. Typical of a small family owned business. Their way of taking care of the employees. They asked me if I opened the card, I said I save that for later, which they quickly said to go check it. So I did and there was a nice gift card inside. I was pleasantly surprised. Its a good company. Could be better, but they'll be better thru experience. Of course, I had to deal with some insider jealousy, but screw them.

Today was the 1st leg of the other semifinal match in Champions League. It was Manchester United at Barcelona. I couldn't believe that the Nou camp was that big of a stadium. Almost 100,000 people. That's unreal. At Stamford Bridge, it was close to 18,000. Anyway, early in the game, Christiano Ronaldo received a PK for a handball done by Milito. Whenever he does the PK, he does a fake first, then hits the ball. This time, he did away with the fake and I think that screwed up his concentration. He missed it, which I thought deflated the confidence level of Man U. And that was during the first 3 minutes of the game! The game ended with a 0 - 0 draw, and head back to the Stadium of Dreams, Old Trafford on Wednesday. Whoever it'll be, they'll face a very confident Chelsea side (Yes, I'm calling it! I'm saying that Chelsea will win it all against Liverpool, come Tuesday).

I was re-connecting with friends yesterday. Got to talk to a buddy of mine from the academy. She's still sweet and thoughtful as ever. Well, I asked her if she wanted to go watch a movie with me this weekend. We'll see how that will turn out.

Sharks won Game 7 yesterday! It was a tough game but it'll be a tougher series next round. They face the Dallas Stars on Friday. Now that's going to be a tough match-up. Former champs, with a very strong line-up. Sharks should match-up well with them, but I don't know. We had a tough time with the Flames, and they're not as tough as the Stars. It sure will be a test. At least the series start here in San Jose.

I need to sleep early. For the last few days, I'm taking for granted the rest my body needs. Sure, I don't feel tired in the morning, but my body is telling me that I need to rest. If there's one tip that I learned thru the years its that do whatever your body tells you to do. If you feel thirsty, drink. If you feel hungry, eat. My body tells me to rest, so I'll follow.

I need to remind myself to water the plant before I leave for work tomorrow...

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Today was the first leg of Chelsea's semifinal round against Liverpool. I was following the game on ESPN's gamecast. I was on pins and needles because of Chelsea's history on these high profile games. Sure enough, most of the players were just going thru the motions and Liverpool scored first due to sloppy defense in the first half. Second half was more technical and tight. It was heading to the last 10 minutes of the game, so I decided to go to lunch and listen to it on my satellite radio. Thank God for Sirius! Funny thing happened, I was in the drive-thru while listening, and of course, the drive-thru had this metal roof on it, blocking the signal. As I exited the metal roof, I heard the announcers go crazy as Riise scored an own goal against Liverpool!! Instead of kicking it out, Riise decided to do a header and ricocheted the ball thru Reina, with seconds left in injury time. If Riise kicked it out, the ref would've whistled the game over. I was screaming and raising my hands in victory!! Yes!!! I'm sure the other drivers in the drive-thru thought I've gone mad, but I didn't care. We had an away goal, heading back to Stamford Bridge, where we never lost in 2 YEARS. What a game. Thank God for DVR too. I saw the game and was ecstatic. I had to replay that goal by Riise a couple of times. I still couldn't believe it.

Anyway, next up is Manchester United on Saturday. A must-win if we want a shot at the Premiership. A win means a tie on top with Man U. A loss and Manchester United wins the Premiership. Its an early game and its not televised on FSC but will be aired on Sirius. So I might stay in my car and chill at a Starbucks while eating some bagel, listening to the game. I have to do my laundry anyway. Plus, its gonna be a long day, Saturday, as I meet with my brother and sister.

Work was easy as ever. I'm definitely getting the hang of it. They can leave me by myself and I could hack it. I need another job though. I need the extra income. I'm keeping my options open. There was an opening in the City yesterday and I sent in my application. Don't know if I would be qualified for it, but what the hey, right? Might as well put my name in the hat and be turned down in the process.

I am watching Game 7 of the series between the Sharks and Flames. Its in the middle of the second period and the Roenick just scored. Sharks are leading 3-2. We'll see how this goes. I didn't know this till a couple of weeks ago, but the Sharks are considered the best team right now that hasn't won a Stanley Cup. I don't like that distinction.

Anyway, I kept my promise of posting everyday. I'l keep it till something strange happens that would keep me from updating the blog.

Cya tomorrow

Monday, April 21, 2008

As promised, I am back and holding true to my word of posting everyday. I almost forgot to, but here I am... HA!

I was so disappointed yesterday... the Sharks lost. It felt like they just gave the game away and was just hoping to play game 7 here at home. I don't like that kind of mentality. Teams have lost at home, especially during the playoffs. Heck, the defending NHL champs got knocked off already! Tomorrow is going to be a good day for sports. Sharks, Game 7, that ought to be good. During the day, there's my fave team, Chelsea going up against them wanks from Liverpool in a Champions League Semi final. Its the first leg at Anfield, so a goal away is always great but a win is better because on the 2nd leg at Stamford bridge, Chelsea hasn't lost a game since 2004! My hopes are high on that game. I'll be listening on satellite but I'll probably record the game on my DVR.

Today at work was different. It has been kinda busy. Calls were constant, especially for service. I like that. I thrive for that. I actually miss the stress by getting 60 calls a day. I know it sounds crazy but its true. I know I'm going to regret saying it though.

On the book front, I decided to take a break with my Alex Cross novels and started reading "Bringing down the house". The writing styles were different as I was used to the short and fast paced chapters of Patterson. But, this new book I'm reading is great too considering its non-fiction. I like the insider way of telling a story by the author. Anyway, I hope to finish it before the week ends, as I am excited to start another book from Patterson.

This morning on the drive to work, I was listening to my favorite station, Howard 100. I was surprised but not disappointed, to hear Artie's back. Surprised because he wasn't fired. AJ Benza never returned after doing the same stunt to Stuttering John before. I'm not disappointed though because Artie Lange is an entertaining SOB. He's funny as heck. Its a good thing that the team is still intact.

Thats it for me today. I'm watching the NBA playoffs right now, but I'm not really paying attention. After this, I'll probably watch RAW and see how the presidential candidates did. Surprisingly, Hillary, Barrack and McCain all were involved in tonight's RAW edition.

Catch ya tomorrow...

Sunday, April 20, 2008

It has been another easy week for me. Uneventful as usual. I guess I'm finally adjusting to the less hectic life of being a dispatcher in a tow company that doesn't do private property tows. The drivers know when its me sending messages (too detailed, some of them like it, some don't). I've adjusted to their quirks and its been smooth sailing so far.

I'm watching game 6 of the Sharks series. They're down right now, 1-0 at the end of the 1st period. Flames look sharp, Sharks look lost. Isn't that what's great about hockey? Just when you thought you were in control, one play could screw everything up!

Today was also the second day of the NBA playoffs. The team I'm rooting for is the Lakers. They look so relaxed that during the first quarter, I thought they were just giving all the shots to Denver. They were in control for most part of the 1st quarter, but suddenly they lost interest and fell 10 points down. But they took control and won it in the end.

My sister advised my brother and I to get our citizenship papers in order. I see the logic in that (as my brother pointed out). Our green card is expiring in a year and a half. What better time to get our citizenship but during an election year. It should be a speedy process but, OMG, the application fee doubled since the last time I recall. Its up to almost $700! At that price, they should naturalize me and give me a key to the city! Yeah, like thats going to happen. I guess I'll settle for less tax taken from my ever dwindling salary, but again, dream on. We're meeting each other next Saturday to finish off the rest of the paperwork. My sister's goal is to submit it before the month ends. We'll also be doing lunch that day in my favorite restaurant in Union City. They make this great dish that is to die for, but is not for everybody though.

Chris Carter finally attached a movie title to the X-files... its X-files: I want to believe.... It is anti-climactic, if you ask me. Finally they won't talk about the alien conspiracy. It'll look more like an extended regular episode. Don't get me wrong, consider me a huge X-files fan. I just like that they followed through on their promise on making a second movie. The teaser looked good. Of course, its only available online thru a bootlegged copy done by someone who took it using their camera phone and posted it on youtube. My friend saw it and loved it. I got goosebumps when he let me hear the background noise over his cellphone (I asked him if he recorded it with his cellphone, but dopey didn't figure that out because of the mass hysteria that was comic-con).

I'm going to continue this blog tomorrow, the Sharks game already started the 2nd period.

Quick notes, GSP won UFC 83!

Again, see ya tomorrow, I promise this'll be a daily blog instead of the weekly updates that you're used to....

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

Its been another easy day today. Mostly, uneventful. Thats always good.

Its payday today and I should've just went with the direct deposit. Now, I have to go to my bank or a neighbor bank. That's ok, I can handle it.

What a great game last night!! Sharks won with seconds remaining!! That stadium in Calgary sure went quiet when Joe tapped that shot from Doug. I was at the right time too that Joe and Cheechoo scored. Team needs the big guns to contribute and they sure did it in game 4. If the Sharks lost, that would've been it. But with the series tied and we get home field advantage back (which I think is a farce because there's no such thing as a home field advantage in any kind of playoff), its a good feeling.

I got a letter from the PD last Monday. It was a commendation for the good job last Jan. 4, during the big storm. I'll be honest with you, I barely remember that day. Kind of weird that I get that letter, weeks after I left the PD. Oh well, at least its going on my file folder.

My friend, Del, called me yesterday. That was always great. Its good thing from my classmate. Heard that all of them were signed off. Thats good news. At least all the ones that were left are signed off. If I were still there, I'd have been the last one to be signed off and possibly on my way out the door.

Hopefully its going to be a better day tomorrow.

Sunday, April 13, 2008

It's been an uneventful week at work. The job is easy, but the commute wasn't. I've forgotten how hard it is to sit in traffic and just wait for the light to go green. I sure took my previous commute to my old job for granted. Anyway, bygones.

I am catching up to some reading, now that I have free time in my new job. A lot of down time, so I said to myself, why not entertain myself with some books. I went to this bookstore which has become my favorite bookstore now. Its a used bookstore that has almost every book I need at half the price. I am re-discovering one of my favorite authors, James Patterson. He is a master of his genre, and the way he writes (lots of short chapters), makes for a non-stop page turner thrill-ride. I love his Alex Cross books. I could probably finish all his Cross books in under 2 weeks, but I choose not to. I'm trying to savor the books. Once I'm done with them, I'm probably moving on to Grisham.

I'm trying to look for another part-time job that doesn't involve any commute. Work at home sounds good to me, as far as doing the job for 20 hours a week. I couldn't find one though. Or if I found one, they don't want me. Anyway, the search contines.

Now that I have some free time, I could probably blog everyday now. I'll do my best but not making any promises though....

The title is more appropriate now I think.... as I still try to recover from a breakdown of sorts. Its true, I have left the PD to save my sanity and preserve what health I have. My fears of alienating my dream CTO turned true. Still trying to recover but the stigma is there. No permanent harm done though, at least that's what I think. But truth be told, I think they were trying to get rid of me... My last night was THE best night I had... EVER! And still my DOR for that night did not reflect that. It was more of documenting the mistakes, sort of magnifying them so that when they do decide to get rid of me, it was fully documented. I thought that was a load of crap, you help those that need help, and not focus on the negatives because of a "deadline". So I took the easy way out, I quit. Sure, the calls were getting to me... but at the same time, I thought I wasn't getting a fair shake, you know, call it like it is. Instead of waiting for that day when they'll give me the axe, I'll just make it easier on them, and put the blame on me. What else could I do? Sure, I didn't want to leave but they're not making it easy on me.

Anyway, I found another job. Less stressful and concentrating on one section of PD dispatching. The tow industry. Less calls for service and lots of downtime. Sure, it gets a little boring at times, but I'll take it. Its better than nothing.

I may consider going back though. Probably FD if they're looking in the future. Sure it gets a lot testier because every transfer from PD that FD gets, its a medical and the RP needs or requires medical. But the volume of calls you get is not that much compared to PD. Plus they have ProQA which makes the job mechanical and easier... that would suit me just fine.

I just need to focus on my job, wait for the opportunity to come again. The last time that happened to me, I waited for almost 5 years to get into PD. Who knows how long I'd be waiting for for another shot at FD, considering they just finished an academy last January. We'll see.... I'll ask my resources during this whole process.

What I miss are my classmates and the new friends I met... I'll be honest, I just finished my 2nd week with my new job, and I'm beginning to miss the hectic feeling and crazy sensation I had inside the Control Room. I miss my old job... Anyway, bygones...
